Different ways to buy things
Buying things is more and more convenient nowadays, no matter whether you shop in department stores, or order by mail-order. Going to department store and using mail-order are the main ways to buy things for modern people. The article will discuss the major differences of department store and mail-order in three points: shopping time, fittness and touching and feeling of the merchandise.
First, the different point between department stores and mail-order is shopping time. Department stores are usually open at eleven o’clock in the morning and close at ten o’clock in the evening. The mail order is different from department stores. It is open twenty-four hours a day and can let customers buy things whenever they want if they have computers.
The second different point between department stores and mail-order is fitting. At the department stores, customers can try on the clothes. Customers can surely know the right size and what color is more suitable for customers. Using the mail-order to buy things, customers should really know their right size. Sometimes, the color of the merchandise may have a little different from what you see on the catalogues because of the diverseness of computers’ screen.
The third difference between department stores and mail-order is touching and feeling of the merchandise. Customers can touch and feel the material at department stores to see if it is comfortable or not. They will know the material of merchandise clearly. If the products are imperfect, customers can change them immediately. On the other hand, customers can not touch and feel the merchandise by use mail-order. The material may not as good as customers expected.
There are some advantages and disadvantages between department stores and mail-order. People can choose going to department store or using mail-order only if they like. The most important thing is happiness. If customers buy things with happiness, either department store or mail-order will have advantages for customers.
